Garnering Support to Block EPA Funding for WOTUS Rule
Today, I sent letter to NUCA state representatives to ask for their help to block funding for the Waters of the United States Rule. This rule, an amendment of the Senate Energy and Water Appropriations bill, would add burdensome costs and bureaucracy to NUCA members working in wetlands.
Under the guise of environmental protections, the EPA’s WOTUS rule will regulate streams, tributaries, and ditches outside the purview of the intent of the Clean Water Act at the expense of businesses, development, and agriculture. The Clean Water Act was intended to limit water pollution, not prevent development in or around wetland areas.
You can also help garner support by contacting your state representatives today. Please feel free to use my letter as a template.
