Welcome Jim Stepahin to NUCA of VA
Jim Stepahin has been working in the underground utility industry for thirty-two years and has multiple certifications from a variety of regulatory agencies. Jim joins us now to provide chapter safety training services. He is certified to teach the Virginia State Corporation Commission's (SCC) "Damage Prevention Training Class", the Virginia Department of Transportation's (VDOT) basic temporary work zone class, the VDOT flagging class, and the National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA) "competent person" and "confined space" classes.

2017 NUCA Scholarship Competition
Each year, NUCA awards scholarships to four graduating high school seniors going into college this fall. Any high school senior whose parent or legal guardian is employed by a NUCA member company in good standing at the time of the application deadline may apply. This includes dependents of employees of NUCA members, high school student employees of NUCA members, and dependents of NUCA Chapter Executive Directors.
