ACTION NEEDED: Request to Delay Silica Rule Enforcement

ACTION NEEDED: VA Decides Not to Delay Silica Rule

The Virginia Department of Labor has decided not to delay enforcement of the Silica standard in accordance with OSHA's delay. Today, NUCA of Virginia sent a letter to the office of Commissioner C. Ray Devenport, asking them to reconsider. We also sent letters to Delegates Kathy Byron, Terry Gilmore and Senate Chairman Frank Wagner in hopes of their support.

Early this morning, Delegate Byron sent her own letter of support to the office of the Commissioner. We greatly appreciate her support of the industry.

You can take action, too. Please take a moment to add your signature and any additional thoughts to the template letter which you can download by clicking here.
