Advisory Council Teleconference
Last week, NUCA of Virgnia members met via teleconference to discuss future plans. Some highlights: A tentative date was set for next year's lobbying event, plans for setting up a chapter training program were made, and future chapter teleconferences were set for the first Wednesday of every month at 2:00pm.
NUCA of Virginia Chapter Executive Director, Jessica Bull, has returned from maternity leave after welcoming a baby girl into her family. She is now available for any chapter inquiries you may have. Friday, January 12th, 2018 from 8:00am-12:00pm is the tentative date set for next year's lobbying day. Just two days after the state session begins, we hope to maximize our influence. The next decision that needs to be made is whether or not to get a chapter hotel block for the night before the event. Join us on the next call to put in your two cents. NUCA of Virgnia is exploring the possibility of setting up a chapter training program. The program would provide a variety of safety training courses, including NUCA Competent Person Training as well as NUCA Confined Space Entry Training. Progress on the establishment of this program will be reported on the next call. Look for a new Education tab on the chapter website, coming soon.
